Really good interview with Dominic Raab on Today right now. Being ground down by relentless logical questioning.
He is quite spectacularly useless.
Michel Husain is ridiculously good. First, contradictory govt messaging. Then direct rule. Then lack of honesty about no-deal during referendum. Then trade deal roll-over.
Clear, knowledgeable, well-informed. God I wish all the interviews on Today were like that.
It's funny, even when Raab is talking about Iran or Hong Kong, and not saying anything particularly wrong, he still sounds petulant and out-of-his-depth.

So there we go. Another £2.1 billion quid spaffed away for no good reason on no-deal, to alleviate a process which'll fuck us anyway.
£6.3 billion in total. All so we can make ourselves poorer and be cross with one another all the time.
Really highlights the moral status of the government. When it came to taking away child benefit, or local services, or disability allowance, it was all about financial realism.

The people who three years ago were the strongest cheerleaders for Theresa May are now collectively insisting they always considered her a Remainer.
They've now transferred exactly the same type of Soviet leader worship to Johnson and their previous view has been airbrushed out of history.
It's quite an odd experience to watch it happen, given that we actually lived through it - and really not so long ago.

Bugger me The Boys is good. First TV version of a comic I've liked.
When it touched on MeToo stuff at the beginning I thought it wouldn't have the maturity to pull it off. I was wrong. It's really smart and properly, unapologetically radical.
It's also obscene, utterly outrageously obscene, in ways I honestly didn't think anyone could get away with on TV. That shit with the dolphin will stay with me.

Guuuuyyyyys I'm sure I'm not the first one to think of this, but what if like... When Connor has nightmares, he doesn't just *experience* them, he projects them into household electronics by accident?
So like, he has bad dreams over all the shitty times he was hurt or killed, and Hank wakes up to static, voices, gunshots on his TV, blurry and poorly defined first person images. He legit thinks he's being haunted until he figures it out.
He catches on when he realizes all the memories are bad, that he's in some of them, that Connor's voice crackling over the speakers is closer than all the others. He wakes Connor up, freaked the hell out, and just holds him tightly enough to make him creak from the pressure.

Why not just go speak to the Grand Jury? Clearly, it's not about avoiding spending more time talking about the investigation and your experience...

He can't help himself..
