Now they get to pretend like they give a fuck about Black communities while at the same time pushing their entire "the west has fallen 'cause of muslims overtaking the planet and threatening the survival of good ole white™ ideals" as the boy who was assaulted is from Afghanistan
To me, it's interesting to see how everyone focuses on the Afghan boy's criminal record, when A$AP Rocky has served time for similar crimes, i.e. drug dealing, and has been arrested on assault charges five times before.
The people who were very vocal about how bad boys like Trayvon Martin must have been, in order to justify white police officer's violence against Black communities are suddenlyvery keen to support a Black rapper because the victim is a Muslim immigrant with a criminal record
It's as if the usual tarnishing of Black boys and men by the Alt-right has been put on hold because suddenly it's possible to turn on an an even better target, i.e. Muslim immigrants.
Don't get me wrong - this entire thing could have been handled in a better way and A$AP Rocky could probably have been given a trial in absentia.
It's not like the Swedish judicial system is flawless by any means. I agree when people say it's characterised by systemic racism, but I have a hard time buying this narrative from the alt-right who's just happy that they can complain about Muslims while seeming like POC allies
