There is an extremely limited range of situations where pointing out a spelling error on Twitter is necessary, useful, or kind.

You can't edit a tweet. If it's a typo it's not a question of knowing better. What are people supposed to do with this information?
I could make the case about how policing spelling on here intersects with classism, ableism, and assumptions of a cultural monolith, but instead I'll just invite you to ask yourself: what even is the utility of it? What does it help? What's the point?
And I'm going to mute this thread because these questions really are an exercise for the reader. I don't care about any answers people care about, even harder than I usually don't care.

Don't be a jerk.
Whatever case you can make for correcting spelling that you think applies to strangers and relative strangers in a public venue, the mechanics of twitter make it pointless.

So just don't. Add that to the list of should-be-obvious etiquette on here.
