I’m sore disappointed in the IG @PoliceNG for yet another blunder adding to his debut of returning criminal tactical squads to status quo to reinforce impunity. He’s failed to bring a single killer Fulani Herdsman to book yet he’s calling peaceful protest an act of terrorism?! 🙄
Now we have to launch an enquiry into the educational qualification of the IGP. It is a sad day for Nigeria indeed. We can finally connect the dots for the rationale behind the impunity ridden police institution that has pitched itself against the people as an ethnic brigade.
Unfortunately, it’s not in the place of @PoliceNG to re-write our constitution or determine the rights of the citizenry under their new ethnic rule in the name of regime security. This we’ll RESIST. You don’t just throw words around as it pleases your agenda. This is a democracy.
Build new prisons if you must. You will not succeed at terrorizing the citizens of Nigeria for a clannish agenda. Nigeria belongs to all of us and no one is more Nigerian than any other Nigerian. #RiseAsOne
Can anyone show me IGP’s statement against those who threatened the entire Nation over RUGA on National TV? Let the record reflect that there is an agenda against the citizenry which MUST be resisted. The police have chosen their side against the constitution that set them up.
Only chronic illiterates would deem #RevolutionNow terrorism just to justify impunity. There is such a thing as peaceful revolution that is non-violent. But a police that conditioned to kill unarmed protesters won’t know what that means. This is a Democracy.

Can someone remind the IGP that the officers he is responsible for rob, kidnap and extort citizens at gun point in the hundreds per hour on a daily basis on a national scale. Is this not state sanctioned terrorism?! Shouldn’t he be held liable for treason?! 🤔 #EndImpunity

From an advisor’s perspective having sat on a few academic panels for PhD presentations, it is easy to identify a problem solver from someone who just needed the title and cert for bragging rights or better pay. This is alsoone of the criteria for the award and why most drop out.
The very bests of students ask questions and the very best of PhD students have a strong desire to learn what advisors have to teach based on experience. While those that enrolled for the wrong reasons are forever preoccupied with showing off what they know and can do.

The issue here is the definition of Revolution. Singapore had their own revolution as led by Lee Kuan Yew and it was greatly successful. It began with finding common grounds in a multi-ethnic republic. They didn’t wait for a miraculous homogeneity. They united their forces.
We must stretch ourselves a bit and dig deeper before aligning with the limitations most have set for themselves. Nigerians are not complex to read if we eliminate prejudices and unfounded rhetorics. We have lost trust in our leaders and the civil society...
...because they have mostly failed us (young and old). These generational failure was reinforced by the hunger for power with the misconception that leadership = Political Power + Heaps of stolen Money. Thus most of our activists are hybrid politicians/veiled aspirants.

If the economy stays relatively "good," at least in the macro sense, I wouldn't underestimate the appeal of returning to the pre-Trump status quo in the Dem electorate. Yes, there's upheaval globally and in the US, but it can be counteracted by a nostalgic desire for "normalcy"
Also recall: turnout in the 2016 Dem primaries was relatively low, which augured Hillary's eventual defeat. It's likely to be much higher in 2020. And people turning out could disproportionately be "normie Dems" who like Biden and aren't interested in sweeping structural change
In general, there's a tendency for pundits to assume that every election cycle subsequent to 2016 will produce the same kind of "disruption" as was evident across the spectrum that year. Alternatively, it could've just been a unique aberration. "Good" economy would reinforce this

Nominally, Scrum calls for the team to contain "all the skills" needed to product the product, and that's good. The Twelve™️ viewpoint calls us to dial that notion all the way up to 12, in particular for the Product Owner.

In Scrum, the PO has the responsibility to tell the team what to do next (and not how to do it). In the best teams, the PO builds an understanding of the needs, and the team devises solutions to the needs. But even then, priorities are set by the PO.

Lots of people correctly pointing out that I should have mentioned Russia and campaign spending violations in my Brexit ‘megathread’. Think I didn’t because, while it clearly matters, I don’t think it changed the result. Bear with me. 1/
We know two things for certain. Russia interfered and Vote Leave spent over its limits by channelling money to a front campaign called BeLeave. 2/
So we have evidence of criminality from two parties that had motive, means and opportunity - Russia on one hand and the Leave campaign on the other. 3/

In '96, Republicans controlled the House & Senate & passed the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act, ultimately signed into law. It “strictly limit[ed] the ability of insurance companies to deny coverage to Americans with preexisting conditions," per @WashingtonPost.
Way back in 2009, Republicans proposed a health care plan “to guarantee all Americans, regardless of pre-existing conditions or past illnesses, have access to affordable coverage.”

The Trump-GOP is no longer a conservative party. It's an authoritarian party.

Here’s what that means for the midterms & generally.
1/ In a nutshell, what happened to the GOP was this: After the 1960s, many of the GOP leadership, to achieve a majority, invited RWAs (right wing authoritarians) into the GOP, evidently thinking they'd keep them on the fringes, getting their votes without embracing their views.
2/ It was a BAD idea. Authoritarians did what authoritarians do: They refused to stay in the corner. They consolidated their power until, in 2016, they took over the party.
