City of El Paso has for months been fighting with Trump’s 2020 re-election committee to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars in unpaid police & public safety bills in connection with a Trump campaign rally there this winter: publicintegrity.org/federal-politi…
This is what El Paso Mayor Dee Margo told @publicintegrity about Trump’s refusal to pay police bills sent by the city to his campaign committee:
As @ErikElkenKVIA recently reported, the @ElPasoTXGov has since tacked on an additional fine for the Trump campaign’s non-payment of El Paso police and public safety bills kvia.com/news/el-paso/c…
What all presidential committees have told @publicintegrity about paying police bills sent to them by municipal governments in connection with their campaign visits publicintegrity.org/federal-politi…
@publicintegrity .@publicintegrity reached out to @realDonaldTrump's 2020 campaign committee to ask — in light of today's mass shooting in El Paso — whether it will address the unpaid police/public safety bill that @ElPasoTXGov officials sent the Trump campaign earlier this year.

Our questions:
@publicintegrity @realDonaldTrump @ElPasoTXGov @TeamTrump @parscale @abc7breaking In June, when I reached Trump campaign Director of Operations Sean Dollman by phone to inquire about the public safety bills El Paso sent the Trump campaign, he referred Qs to the campaign’s comms staff, which has never responded to our numerous requests by phone and email.
FWIW: @TeamTrump has yet to respond to @publicintegrity’s questions from last night, and again this morning, about whether it will now pay the more than 1/2 million $ in police/public safety bills and late fees the City of El Paso says the Trump campaign owes El Paso taxpayers.
