I made myself a deal that I wouldn't look at "WGA Election/ATA" twitter before work was done for the day. Surfaced from this rock video to find that my compadres are asking the hard questions & not letting flim flam answers go by without holding feet to fire #ClientsNotConflicts
Saying you want to protect younger/junior/underrepped writers by giving them choice when it comes to packaging, & their interactions, demonstrates a fundamental lack of understanding of the reality those writers experience in dealing with biz & agencies.
"If your agent packages you & you don't want it, you should leave" is disingenuous as to the power and fear dynamic that exists with MANY younger/starting writers.

In the same way that there's a faction of writers who are pissed they had to fire their big four agent because being repped by WME/CAA/ICM/UTA was PROOF that they were LEGIT and REAL and PROFESSIONAL.
