My local authority - @HighlandCouncil - were told my mother needed a full time home carer.
1st they tried not to give her one at all despite the hospital asking.
They then dropped it from twice a day to once.
Now's she's back in hospital because she fell TWICE in two hours.

2/ They gave her a telecare fall alarm = useless.
If she or my very ill father use it, they tell THEM to call an ambulance.
The @Scotambservice then always put her as "low priority".
My severely disabled mother has lay waiting 3 HOURS on the floor more than once.

3/ In 2013 we told the Social Work she needed a carer. They refused.
The police had to break in to lift her up when my father was in hospital. They still refused.
Ten + calls for an ambulance because she fell. Still nothing.
It took her BREAKING her good leg to get help.

4/ @HighlandCouncil & @NHSHighland integrated Social Care were reluctant to give her carers this year.
She bed blocked as the hospital wouldn't put her home without them.
Once home, they instantly scaled it back.
Now she's off to hospital again because of their incompetence

6/ My mother was discharged because they said "if you are admitted it'll be for months" which scared obviously.
So they kicked her out WITHOUT her wheelchair or walking aids as she was taken by ambulance.
Then, she had to pay £63 for a taxi to get home.
I'm so angry

I can't get hold of anyone at @HighlandCouncil Mid Ross Care Team.
The call centre & direct number just sends me to an automated message no answer phone option.
The emergency number is the same. Council staff don't even have an answer.
What a shambles.

8/ My father and I have literally no idea what to do.
My mother needs an urgent needs assessment and we and the council can't get hold of anyone from @HighlandCouncil or @NHSHighland who can help.
Literally abandoned. 😭
