Here's Prime Minister Boris Johnson ruling out a #NoDealBrexit during his 2016 referendum campaign.

WTO rules: No Deal = No Free Trade = Tariffs
Johnson said the idea of post-Brexit tariffs was absurd & wouldn't happen. i.e. He ruled out No-Deal, calling it "gloom"/"pessimism".
So given that Johnson referred to the very idea of a #NoDealBrexit as gloomy pessimism in 2016, when he calls us "gloomsters" for saying it will hurt the UK now, what he's really saying is:
"Yep, it definitely will hurt the UK".

Or.... Maybe... given that he said to "ignore the pessimists and the merchants of gloom" who suggested we wouldn't get a Brexit deal in 2016, he's calling HIMSELF a merchant of gloom for even entertaining no-deal, so he was prophetically telling us in 2016 to ignore HIM now!

If the question is whether the UK Remains or Leaves the EU, the question's substance is the UK-EU relationship.

Remain was fixed by UK/International law.
Unless the Leave relationship was decided in 2016, it was literally IMPOSSIBLE for Leavers to know what they were voting for.
I know... I know... I avoid using that phrase usually. But the logic above and below is irrefutable.
I'd be more of a "patronising Remainer" for thinking Leavers are too delicate/irrational to handle this simple reality:
Even in No-Deal, there WILL be a new treaty within ten years and NOBODY could have known its specifics in 2016 or the whether they'd prefer it to EU membership.

Someone asked me where I get my determination:
I know for a fact that almost every single politician who pushed for Brexit in 2016 reassured people they wouldn't be hurt by it by promising we'd get a deal. Those same people are running the country now and pushing for no deal.
So if you know that the people running the country are liars who are doing something that they've implicitly admitted (via their 2016 arguments) would hurt the country and there is anything you can do to block their plans... Morally you have to.
And even when the "They voted for it. Let them lie in the bed they made" thought enters my head, it's immediately replaced by three overruling thoughts:

UK Democracy:
▪️The 2017 election where the majority voted to avoid hard Brexit is deemed irrelevant
▪️Only politicians of one camp are deemed legitimate
▪️Despite Brexit hugely changing since 2016, those seeking a new vote are deemed traitors

Seriously! James Cleverly, a current government minister, said that the 2017 General election was less important than the referendum.

Remember what they say about a democracy that can't change its mind....

Forget your opinions, and rationally analyse this:
Brexit could have been a basic free trade deal, single market access or no deal (hugely different implications for the UK). And now that it's been clearly defined, suggesting that people should vote on it is seen as undemocratic.
