Get ready for a story

I work for Xfinity and I'm at a booth in Oakland doing student services for the freshmen, and the guy who's supposed to relieve me is going on 2 hours late.

And I'm starving.

But I can't leave; there's a ton of expensive equipment here.

And then a crackhead walks by...

He asks if I'm giving anything away (Xfinity booth with wifi modems all over the table).

An idea hit me: I said

"Hey man if I give you three bucks to go get me a Snickers and a Dr. Pepper from that Sunoco over there, I'll give you four bucks when you come back."

I figured "a crackhead will do anything for a dollar right?"

Dude just held out his hand, didn't say anything, just gave me that "show me the money" look. So I hand him $3 and he walks away.

Five minutes later dude comes back with 3 candy bars, one is a Snickers, gives me all 3 and a 20z Dr. Pepper...

I was confused for all of 4 seconds before I realized I just sent a crackhead into a gas station to steal shit for me.

True to my word I gave him four bucks even though I was 96.5% sure the $3 I gave him was still in his pocket.

Like I figured 4 bucks is a fair price to run down 2 blocks and back. This dude went "I'm walking away with $7 and some snacks. Bet."
