I think I need to add a caveat to that large thread that I posted a few minutes ago. I could picture some on the SJW side dismissing it by saying it’s different since I was talking about Gentiles coming to Christ in the first place.
2/ They may argue the current situation is different since the injustice was perpetrated by white Christians. This is believer-on-believer injustice, so perhaps they think it makes it different. I don’t think it does. The same biblical principles still apply.
3/ Not only that, let me make our story more grim. After we joyfully received the Gentiles onto the tree, it only took 300 years until a multi ethnic church comprised of many skins of color expelled us out of Christianity. They kicked us off our own tree.
4/ I’m talking about believing Israelites! They were no longer allowed to be Jewish. For the next 1700 years, Jewish people were in dread at the sight of the cross since often the shields that it was painted on & the uniforms to which it was sewn,
5/ were carried by people who came to burn our women and children. The very cultures that supposedly embraced Christianity are the same cultures that supported pogroms, produce the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, and spread every wicked conspiracy theory against us.
6/ This isn’t just white evangelicalism to blame. This is from Gentiles of all stripes. I bring all of that up to say that the biblical principles in my first thread still apply. It doesn’t matter what happened to us for 1700 years by people who claimed to Christ.
7/ What matters is that if we believe in Jesus and they believe in Jesus, we are co-heirs of the same commonwealth, fastened to the same tree. We must love each other. We must be united. We must forgive. There must be grace. No excuses, no exceptions.
8/ My motive and heart’s desire is to see the 1700 year rift between Jewish and Gentile believers to be restored and healed and then function as it did in the days of the apostles. This is a 1700 year global rift.
9/ It is depressing if a regional 400 year rift won’t be biblically healed. It damages my hope for the bigger rift to be healed. So let’s just all be biblical about this and do things the right way. That is all.
