@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne I was mildly amused by the fact that @ScribblingDrake did not, in fact, block me after he posted that slop. But I blocked him, anyway, because why not?
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne His narrow-mindedness was mildly amusing.

"The person in question has two accounts it seems, speaking to themselves between the two accounts."

Not that this is anybody else's business, but take a look at my profile. What do you keep seeing, that makes it stand out a little?
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne I do tweet storms, little essays that show up on my profile page. Which I'll then try to separate from each other by inserting pictures, so you'll have some sense of where one starts and the other ends.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne When I first starting posting those, I'd do them as a chain of replies to myself, and immediately ran into a problem.

When you do that, Twitter puts all of your tweets on your profile page in reverse chronological order. You don't get to opt out of that.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne It's a problem for the reader, who is forced to start an essay at the bottom, and the read it by going up instead of down.

It's an unnatural way to read, and it's uncomfortable, so I did something about that.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne Yes, I have a second account. Nothing sinister or rule breaking about it. My two accounts serve different purposes and always have.

The purposes have changed over time, but they've never been the same.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne The account I'm using to post this is one I'll be using to tweet about the bookmarking and favoriting activity associated with my blog. Its companion is for material that is more purely original with me.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne There is original material I'll be posting through this, eg. my commentary about the sites I'm bookmarking, but there's that continuing focus on the work of others.

Work that will generally be better than anything Cheyenne Bramwell will ever write.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne OK, so I've got these two accounts. How does that help, aside from the fact that it allows somebody to follow my blog posts, without him being forced to listen in as I tell people what I like on Flickr?

Which is a good thing, because not everybody is going to care about that.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne The answer:

This allows me to present my mini-essays on my profile page in a more pleasant format, one that is easier on the reader's eyes.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne I post a picture using account #1, and reply to it with a picture using account #2. Having done that, I can now write my essay as a chain of tweets, without being forced by the system to spill it across my profile in that ugly, awkward reverse chronological order.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne Once I'm done, I can retweet my own essay, starting from the bottom and working upward, so that the reader, on running into that essay on my profile, can read it, starting at the top and working downward.

Reading it in the way people would normally read a column of text.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne I'll also tweet a few pictures, chosen as illustrations, to break up the text, giving the reader a chance to rest his eyes, because long tweet storms can be tiring to read.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne Simple, logical and helpful - so of course, the Scribbling Dragon decided to create drama about that. Which should tell you why I blocked him.

As always, I have places to go and things to do.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne I resent the fact that the fact that I found a way to work around some of the bad design features of this site is being used as an excuse to take a cheap shot at me, and cast aspersions on my sanity.

That was absolutely uncalled for.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne Was the Drake too dumb to notice all of the retweeted essays on my profile and make the connection? Or was he just digging for mud to sling?

Either way, his ignorant commentary and attack on my character is the reason why I wasn't out enjoying the daylight much sooner.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne Look at how much drama I've had to go through just to post one story, because of the antics of Twitter's so-called "writing community."
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne What kind of "writing community" goes to such lengths to discourage people from writing? Am I expected to go through this, every time I post a piece of writing? Accept that I'm going to spend far more time dealing with the craziness of others, than doing what I'm hear to do?
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne Look at this. I actually have to chose between leaving a random psych accusation made at my expense in circulation because I put the system to some sort of mildly creative use and because some white knight wanted to stir the s.hit.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne I lose a good chunk of what should be a nice afternoon dealing with this, and where are the consequences for him?

When this is how life works on this site, Twitter fails to make sense as a choice of a writing platform, because of the actions of its "writing community."
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne Was the Drake really trying to stir the s.hit, or was he not playing, at all? Was he really that dumb?

Either way, I non-consensually lose a chunk of my day to his nonsense. That's not acceptable.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne I could add that the "responses to self" are the means I used to insert the navigational links into my moments without littering my profile page and making it unreadable, but you know what?

I shouldn't even have to give this f.ucking explanation.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne Even if the Drake was a sincere mo.ron who really couldn't figure out why I was doing what I was doing, that's no excuse.

Common sense should have told him that he has a social duty to mind his own business.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne In the course of my day, I'm going to run into a long string of people who are either too ill informed or just too st.upid to understand why I'm doing what I'm doing.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne If I have to stop and explain myself to every half-wit I meet, how am I going to have the time to do anything else?

So, even if he didn't understand what was going on, he still should have known better than to talk about it at all. He should have minded his own business.
@ScribblingDrake @PoemsbyCheyenne Was he being sincere and st.upid or a devious pain in the as.s? Doesn't matter. Either way, his actions were inexcusable and unforgivable.

He's a good person to block.
