tyler davis is set to be sentenced today. with the exception of some pending appeals i don’t think will go anywhere, i believe this is the end of the criminal cases related to the events of august 12, 2017.
his trial was rescheduled several times before he eventually entered a guilty plea. at every stage, he was allowed to return home to care for his autistic teenage son. despite the severity of the violent crime he committed, and unlike his codefendants.

at his preliminary hearing, judge moore said it appeared to him as though the blow davis struck against his prone victim was the one that created the most serious wound, the head wound that required staples to close.

despite having landed fewer blows than the other men in the brutal group beating of an unarmed man, concert of action was used in the other trials to hold all assailants accountable for the sum of their actions.
the league of the south claimed they were not present at the A11 torch march. that fact is an issue in some civil litigation. perhaps davis has information about the league’s activities that weekend that some authorities find valuable.
i was contacted by davis’ lawyer last year & asked to delete a tweet speculating that davis was receiving preferential treatment in exchange for information about the league of the south. i’m not claiming anything here. just giving you dots to connect however you’d like.
a quick refresher on the sentences received by the three other men convicted for the same brutal group beating of a young unarmed black man:

i doubt today’s sentencing will be as wild as daniel borden’s (because it would probably be impossible for a sentencing hearing to be more bizarre than that one)
