Here's Nigel Farage admitting that 14% of the 17.4 million people who voted for Brexit support the Brexit deal we've negotiated.
Mathematically that only leaves 15 million for No-Deal Brexit, which is less than the 16 million who voted Remain...
Here's Nigel Farage's #LeaveMeansLeave campaign literally saying 15% of leave voters don't want No-Deal. All you need is 8% of leave voters to oppose No-Deal and it's no longer a majority.
But this one is my personal favourite...
So according to Farage's own words:
▪️The majority of the UK opposes No-Deal
▪️There are versions of Brexit that he sees as worse than EU membership
▪️Brexit doesn't necessarily deliver the things Brexit voters wanted
▪️Nobody wants to have to deal with the consequence of leaving

Nigel Farage responded to concerns that struggling families might be hurt by Brexit, by reassuring them we'd get a deal better than Norway which means UK products would have automatic full access to the Single Market.
Now he's pushing for No Deal.
Bad Guy.
Michael Gove knows there are record numbers of people in the UK who rely on food banks and yet he's supporting a pro-No-Deal government that he himself says will increase the price of food.

That really is the crux of Brexit.
Achieve a majority by promising different people different and completely incompatible outcomes.
Tell car factory workers who rely on fluid exchange of parts across borders that their supply chains will be protected because we'll stay within the Single Market system.

And then tell middle class Tories that we'll totally leave the Single Market system.

Tell the Labour Left that Brexit will lead to a socialist Utopia where wealth is evenly distributed by taxing the rich.

Then tell conservative voters that we'll be slashing corporation tax to make sure that big business stays here.

Today I talked to a couple who were practically my 2nd parents as a kid. We haven't really spoken since Brexit. Still strong Brexiteers. That'll never change. But they see the mess & think it should've required a 60-40. I said a basic majority on a specific Brexit would suffice.
Part of me had avoided talking to them because I was terrified that we'd have a bad argument and damage the relationship permanently. But I spent the afternoon with them and mutual empathy was the backbone of the discussion.
I have missed them.
They're furious at the way some of the people in their life have said that all Leavers are uneducated. They'd even attended an event at their old university, where a professor said as much. The man nearly stood up and said "hang on, you're the one who educated me!"

(1) Boris with his unique style is the one man who can reunite the majority of the Conservative Party into agreeing to May's Deal.

He will sit down with the 1922 & probably the ERG to tell them it's May's Deal or disaster (GE, 2nd Ref, Brexit Party decimation)...
(2) And they will sign up to it!

Every one of them.

Because it will cease to be "May's Deal" & become "Boris' Deal". Boris, co-leader of the Leave campaign. Boris the great marketeer (bullshitter). Boris their last final hope to salvage Brexit & the Tory Party.

So, just to preface this. I won't be talking much about Brexit here. The reason being - it's been done. To death. And to the detriment of debate about how dangerous Farage actually is, and what he actually believes. We'll touch on it, but it ain't front row centre.
It's hard to know where to start with Farage, frankly. After doing the research that I have on him, it's stunning to think that he's the favourite for the European Elections. Sorry, stunning? I meant horrifying. But let's start with the young Farage, and work our way from there.

1) Simple, fair strategy for #PeoplesVote
The #Brexit side of the debate get to choose their option for the referendum question with one condition:
Their Brexit plan must be achieveable & must not depend on the EU "caving"

If they can't decide on an option, that's their problem
2) to explain, the Remain side choose "Remain" as their option for the ballot paper, and the Leave side get to pick any #Brexit variant they believe will get the most public support.

It could be a no deal #Brexit, a Canada deal with the backstop, May's deal or Norway+
3) but...
If for example they choose "no deal" its not "no deal because the EU will panic and give us a great deal", it's just "no deal", as it stands, with its consequences spelt out

If its May's deal, its May's deal *including* the backstop

1) Thread - All Brexits are bad and what we voted for
It's often said by brexiters that "it's not all about economics"
However, the *actual* Leave campaign was almost wholly about economic arguments

With the leak of this 2-8% report those arguments are now trashed
2) We seem to have forgotten this however economics played a huge part in the Vote Leave campaign, making up over 2/3rds of the primary arguements. The clear message was we would at the least be no worse off and at best much better off. 4 of the 6 below state this clearly
3) & the fact is voters believed we would be no worse off. People prioritized immigration certainly, but against a backdrop of there being no consequences from Brexit - few are prepared to actually pay for ending FoM
