1/7 This is the story of a priest running in hospitals being “interrupted.”
So, as usual, I went to the hospital for an emergency call. The sight of a priest running in a hospital gets many people’s attention, but it is normal now. Today, however, it was a very special day...
2/7 I made it in time for anointing and prayers and also, as usual, many people stopped me to bless rosaries or pray for their family and friends. When I was getting on the elevator, I heard the cry of a mom calling me in Spanish.
I heard her pain.
I felt her pain.
3/7 This painful interruption was loud and I wasn’t going to ignore it so I got out of the elevator and I started running again. I wasn’t sure where I was going, but I just followed that voice of a mom crying for help. I never heard anything more powerful in my life.
4/7 The nurse found me and got me inside of NICU. The mom was crying, but I wasn’t sure if it was sadness or relief that she got my attention. In Spanish and sobbing, she explained the situation. She grabbed my hand and shaking, we went down the hallway.
5/7 She took me to her baby who was dying and asked me to baptize her before she died. And there I was, looking at this beautiful defenseless baby. I had to stop for a second. Everything was so fast, until I felt mom’s tears in my hand. For her, there was not time to waste.
6/7 I grabbed my holy water (always with me) and I was about to give the sacrament I have administered many times, but this time I was shaking. Some nurses gathered around and one started singing. Then I dropped the water on this delicate baby as I pronounced the words..
7/7 ...I baptize you in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit as she grabbed her mom’s finger with her little hand.
Afterwards, I went to the chapel to pray for them & to thank God for using my “interruptions” to bring His presence.

2. When I entered seminary, I was a bit older than everyone else. I was 34 when everyone else was 24-27. But I was full of joy starting my new life. To study and learn a lot, plus I am an extrovert and I love meeting new people. Never had I imagined what I was about to experience
3. All started well. I met many new guys with whom I was going to share 7 years. My new 100 roommates. Nothing gives an extrovert more energy, but after a few months, I felt the loneliest person in the world. I was alone & I couldn’t understand why, but it was happening.

thread 1. Walking in a store someone yelled at me, “pedophile priest.” Let me star by saying that I AM NOT A VICTIM here. The victims are the abused victims. They are the ones who matter here. I still paralyzed. I didn’t know what to do or say.
2. For the first time, I felt, for just a second, shame for the priesthood. I know it is not good to hear this, but I couldn’t help it. If you feel anger and disgust and shame, you are not alone and yet these feelings are but a little grain of sand of what the victims feel
3. I don’t want to leave the priesthood. Not because of this. This is a reminder that I need to, I want to become a better priest, a holier priest. It is not a career. It is a service. Today was a reminder of that. And I repeat, I AM NOT the victim, but much to learn from this.

(THREAD) 1. MEET Estela and Nicolas. Today they got married. For anyone else this would be just a picture of a normal wedding day, but for these two, there is much more than meets the eye. For them, this is a story of the triumph of love and hope.
2. 3 weeks ago I was approached by someone at my parish.
-“Father, there is a couple who wants to get married.”
-“I am glad to hear that. Tell them to call me & we will set up a meeting.”
-“Well” she said, “this is the thing. They are in the hospital. Could you come please?”
3. I went to visit them, only to find out that Estela, a beautiful 26 year old woman, had cancer that spread all over her body. Doctors give her a limited time of life. I saw her husband to be, by her side, with a sad smile in his eyes, asking me for hope and a miracle.

Hey all. I have an announcement to make. I’ve stepped down from the Ladybug Podcast. This is primarily about value misalignment and my own personal shame about that.
I want to talk about what I’ve done and how I’ve fucked up. Because I have. I am only speaking for me here. I know before I left there was a lot of brainstorming happening based on the DMs and anonymous feedback we received.

A few years back, I discovered a website dedicated to the sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) had appropriated one of my portraits of a prominent athlete. Not only had they straight up ripped the photograph itself, but they overlaid their own watermark on the image too /2
Some due diligence allowed me to find the name and address of the person who owned/ran the website, and that their logo was *a registered trademark*, as filed with the USPTO. The trademark application was granted a few years prior to their infringement of my work /3

Let me explain how.

Right now, the Dems are defending their extremists who are claiming the our border/homeland security personnel are running 'concentration camps' for illegal immigrants. They want this to dominate the some of the news cycle this week.
Dems aren't condemning the nonsensical rhetoric coming from their extreme wing; they are defending it, raising it's visibility & counting on their DNC Media Complex allies to have this 'important issue' dominate domestic political discussion for the foreseeable future.
That's just on the **domestic** front.

Imagine the FUN the extreme wing of the Democratic Party would have had for the next couple of news cycles if Trump struck Iran for downing an unmanned drone.

1/ Yesterday Last night my grandmother in the #Greek state of #Ebros what is close to the Turkish and the Bulgarian borders, encountered three #Algerian illegal migrants outside her home in a silent town in the dark and rainy day.
2/ The three illegal migrants from #Algerian decent were outside the home of my grandmother and grandfather. The 3 men were soaked from the rain and were in a cold state. They knocked on the door because a friend of theirs did not feel well and went ill.
