Increasingly I find the single most important criteria when deciding which piece of media to consume is length. I want the article, podcast episode, video, etc. to begin and end within time I have, so I get satisfaction of completion and don’t have to remember to finish it later
I predict content creators & media platforms will begin to prioritize this:
-sorting items by duration
-recommendations based on time slots in your calendar
-sliders allowing you to scale media up or down using algorithms
-more serialization so bigger pieces fit in small chunks
