You do not need to use an epithet to discuss and epithet. I can talk about misogynist slurs against women without using the words – adding to their currency. When someone says racist epithet, everybody knows what it means. You don't even need to give its initial letter.
We know the anti-Asian epithets, the anti-Latino epithets, the anti-Arab epithets, the anti-women, anti-Black, anti-disabled and developmentally disabled epithets. Hell, the first day some extra-terrestrial lands, we will all know the epithet within 24 hours.
Since we know the words and you know the words, using them does not educate. Using a racist epithet, even in a non-racist context, adds heat not light. There is no excuse.
