If that isn't enough to make you want to read a book like Proof of Conspiracy about how the Trump family corrupted America's Middle East policy by turning it into a for-profit family business, I got nothing left
1/ Here's what many don't realize: Berkowitz was chosen because he knows about ongoing secret negotiations between Kushner and foreign nationals in the Middle East; Trump had virtually no one else he could pick, as those secrets can't be allowed to reach ears "outside the family"
2/ Just so, Greenblatt and Hook already know about what the Trumps are secretly doing in the Middle East, as does Barrack (who was, incredibly, kept in the loop even after it came out he is under investigation); no one else will be allowed anywhere near Trump's Middle East policy

I think many are coming around to at least *considering* that Trump's "Alabama Dorian" escapade *may* have been an effort to curry favor with Alabama voters so they'll vote out "the Senate's most endangered Democrat" before Trump needs GOP Senate votes for any... special purposes
(For those who wonder how potential hurricane relief funds and positioning oneself as the Savior of Alabama could aid Trump's standing in a state where his support for Roy Moore damaged him, remember that his Alabama tweets *consistently* positioned him as the state's protector.)
That said, I don't know what goes through the man's head and don't claim to; of *course* he never admits fault, and of *course* he misreads reports, and of *course* he gets facts wrong carelessly, but there's no harm in trying to see possible factors present across the landscape.
