I think many are coming around to at least *considering* that Trump's "Alabama Dorian" escapade *may* have been an effort to curry favor with Alabama voters so they'll vote out "the Senate's most endangered Democrat" before Trump needs GOP Senate votes for any... special purposes
(For those who wonder how potential hurricane relief funds and positioning oneself as the Savior of Alabama could aid Trump's standing in a state where his support for Roy Moore damaged him, remember that his Alabama tweets *consistently* positioned him as the state's protector.)
That said, I don't know what goes through the man's head and don't claim to; of *course* he never admits fault, and of *course* he misreads reports, and of *course* he gets facts wrong carelessly, but there's no harm in trying to see possible factors present across the landscape.
