As I said the other day. Feel sad for hellshire, not fort Clarence. It probably won’t exist in a few months.
Just to add to this a bit. A thread on Hellshire Beach
UDC owned Hellshire beach years ago and tried to upgrading it for the fishermen there, including developing housing for them. Well into the planning, activists came and encouraged the fishermen to self organise and manage the beach.
Under pressure, 10 acres of Halfmoon Bay, now referred to as Hellshire Beach, was transferred to the fisherman's cooperative in 2001.
Here we are in 2019 and we all see how that turned out.
It takes cash to care. Fact is, Fort Clarence was also deteriorating and racking up significant losses for UDC annually. Entry price for Fort Clarence has been $250 JM since 2013; let's be real, that's not sustainable.
