The media and Trump have a very unhealthy codependent relationship.
They obsess over Trump, then Trump obsesses over the coverage, then they obsesses over Trump's reaction to the coverage etc. etc.
Meanwhile, important stories go under-covered and the President spends more time watching and reacting to stories about himself than doing his job.
