I’m not mentioning any products. This is a thread to discuss about essential oils and weight loss from scientific point of view.

To answer your question, as far as I know there’s no evidence to show that topical application (minyak sapuan) of essential oil can directly cause weight loss.

Essential oils may have function in weight loss “management’ (indirect effect) but the evidence is weak and limited. Studies were done mostly in vitro or animals - not on human.

There’s also a theory that the “anti-anxiety effect” of essential oils may help to control overeating (indirect effect) but again the evidence is weak and not a direct correlation.

P/S: Do not be angry at me, as a doctor and a scientist- I’m just stating research studies. We can have an intellectual discussion in the comment section below.
