The phrase "terrorist attack" has become utterly meaningless. If we define it as voluntary violence in order to achieve a political goal, how are most U.S. military "interventions" not actually just terrorist attacks?

Rebels are terrorists until they win.
Then they become revolutionaries.
History is written by the victors.

Remember this as governments attempt to frame various acts of violence (they all do it). Violence against them is terrorism, violence by them is just and honorable. Most often it's just a bunch of semantic garbage.
