Revelation by MB Adoke, fmr HAGF/Min of Justice, that Pres GEJ had signed into Law a bill granting life pensions and constitutional immunity to lawmakers, in 2015. Adoke says he managed to halt the return of the signed version to NASS just-in-time
The Bill GEJ signed would also have, according to Adoke, “taken away the power of the president to assent to constitutional amendments. That meant that the legislature would, on its own amend the constitution and it would become operational without the consent of the President.”
