If you haven't been following this issue, HPCSI states that the IC Inspector General received an urgent, credible whistleblower complaint. By law, the DNI must convey that to Congress. HPSCI says ODNI has declined to do that, and improperly consulted with DoJ and perhaps the WH.
All this sets up another potentially significant power struggle between two co-equal branches of government, Congress and the Executive Branch.
