Agni is important Vedic god & one of Panchabhootas. He is also the guardian of Agneya (SouthEast) direction. Usually found in South East corner of Hindu temples.

Iconography of Agni as per Agamas is as follows:
1. Large Belly coz consumes everything offered to flames.
2. Sharp Moustache & beard
4. Consort - Swaaha
5. Holds Akshamala, Kamandala, Flames and Spoon for offering Ghee during Yagya.
