Advice to my 21 yr old self:

1) Take big risks in your 20s with your career and investments, swing for the fences. If you connect on a big swing it could materially change your life trajectory, and if you miss you still will likely learn more than not swinging at all.
Advice to my 21 yr old self:

2) No one knows anything. No one has it all figured out, no one is well trained or infallible. Most people are just faking it until they make it. Don’t think too highly of people just bc they are older, have more experience, or claim to be an expert
Advice to my 21 yr old self:

3) Keep learning, don’t slow down, actually speed up. At 21 even the smartest, best educated person can be outpaced by someone willing to keep learning. Learning doesn’t stop at school. With a smartphone literally everything is available to learn.
Advice to my 21 yr old self:

4) Learn deeper and broader. Knowing a lot of first principles in tons of disciplines is important, but also knowing a few disciplines in extreme depth is important. Choose to go down a rabbithole (depth) when needed / interested.
Advice to my 21 yr old self:

5) A lot less can be accomplished in a year but a lot more can be accomplished in 5 years than most people think. Small accomplishments and goals can have cumulative impacts overtime that are hard to predict over long periods of time.
Advice to my 21 yr old self:

6) Go on more Adventures, just get in the car and drive. Take the path less travelled, accept the unknown, the journey is the point not the destination. Adventuring becomes harder with more responsibilities.
Advice to my 21 yr old self:

7) Hold strong opinions lightly. What you are sure off now will seem insane in hindsight. Know that what you know is wrong, but there is no right just more informed with a different perspective. Argue your opinion until it changes, then argue that.
Advice to my 21 yr old self:

8) You are the master of your own feelings. Don’t let the way others think of you effect your own happiness. Don’t be worried or anxious of failings or errors. It all passes. Everything passes with time so don’t dwell as it will pass.
Advice to my 21 yr old self:

9) Party. Make up stories, do crazy things, say yes to travel, fun, and activities. Don’t worry about costs, being tired, or missing out on something else. The Fun times is what you will remember and what creates great stories/builds character.
Advice to my 21 yr old self:

10) Adopt a low sugar diet and get in the gym. Your only young once and you are never gonna look jacked if you don’t do it now. You will feel better and have more energy to enjoy life, family, and fun. It’s ok to be vain when you’re young.
Advice to my 21 yr old self:

11) Buy $AMZN and $MNST Calls.
