The White House argues that unhoused people are lucky-duckies: “If people who end up in homeless shelters are provided rental subsidies or other forms of assistance, this could increase the incentive for people to turn to shelters in the first place or to stay in shelters longer”
Note that the White House staffs a U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness. Their expert recommendations, produced last year, under Trump even!, contradict the White House CEA report wholly. usich.gov/home-together/
