There’s even more to this (additions start in the next Tweet).
Regarding people who may have sold Trump down the river…
Another one might be Rhona Graff.

Another (important) hole that Douglas Letter pokes in Trump’s argument that this subpoena keeps him from doing his job:

They’re not issuing the subpoena to HIM (Trump), they’re issuing the subpoena to THIRD PARTY INSTITUTIONS.
👆What’s more, the documents they’ve requested were in existence when Trump was still a private citizen and therefore ARE NOT PRIVILEGED.

That’s why he refers to him as “mister” instead of “president” throughout the entire argument.
If Trump has nothing to hide, there should be no problem at all with Deutsche Bank explaining what they’ve done, and why. They are asking Deutsche Bank (and others) to explain their process of analysis/decision-making when:
-Deutsche Bank has already been found to have been money laundering (for Russia) during that time period

-no one else would give money to Trump
(more on both points here)
There seems to be plenty to hide, though. Both Trump AND Deutsche Bank have some explaining to do (or, we could just look at financial records instead).
A Deutsche Bank employee tried to file a SAR (Suspicious Activity Report) regarding Jared Kushner, and she was ignored.
WHILE Deutsche Bank was laundering money for Russia, Trump suddenly started spending massive amounts of cash on real estate:
Trump has already been in trouble for money laundering.

WHILE Deutsche Bank was laundering money for Russia, WHILE Trump was spending millions in cash on real estate (HELLO), Eric Trump brags that they're getting an influx of cash from...🥁 Russia.

Continuing…the subpoena to these financial institutions includes grandchildren. This is because money launderers often use their children to hide assets.

You might recall the NYT story on Fred Trump.
“[Donald]Trump received the equivalent today of at least $413 million from his father’s real estate empire, starting when he was a toddler and continuing to this day.”

With regards to Mueller poking around Trump’s financials, and what that may mean…
The FBI also seems extremely interested in them.
reuters.com/article/us-usa…
Very VERY interested in them.

The German police also would like to know WTF is going on at Deutsche Bank

Trump - who has seen the unredacted version of the Mueller report - says that Mueller looked at his financials.
washingtonpost.com/politics/trump…
And speaking of the unredacted portion of the Mueller report, and its underlying evidence (the Grand Jury materials), Bill Barr thus far has kept all of that away from Congress. I WONDER WHY.
But, the House didn’t say “okay. Guess we’ll never get them.” Nope, they immediately started fighting for them.
The day after Barr released the Mueller report (after holding onto it for weeks, and misleading the public about it), Nadler and House Judiciary subpoenaed the full version of the report, including the grand jury testimony and investigative materials.
npr.org/2019/04/19/715…
When the subpoena went ignored, they went to court.
politico.com/story/2019/07/…
Who did they send? You guessed it - Douglas Letter.
judiciary.house.gov/sites/democrat…
And I know you’re probably saying “who cares? Barr, Trump [insert name of a$$hole] will just keep thumbing their noses while the Dems write letters.” There’s a legal term for that: OBSTRUCTION.
Have you read the articles of impeachment that were drawn up for Nixon? Article 1 is entirely about OBSTRUCTION.
watergate.info/impeachment/ar…
And speaking of Nixon impeachment, did you know that after decades of being hidden from view, the “Watergate Roadmap” was unsealed a little under a year ago?
lawfareblog.com/watergate-road…
Do you know who unsealed it? Beryl Howell.
politico.com/story/2018/10/…
Who is Beryl Howell? She’s the judge that the House has petitioned for the Mueller Report grand jury materials. Because she’s the judge who oversaw Mueller’s grand jury.

Douglas Letter isn’t only working on the House Financial Services + House Intelligence subpoena, or the Mueller report petition. He’s working on a ton of things for us.
“In terms of oversight litigation, this is unprecedented to have as many cases and potential cases all coming up at the same time — which I think is just a feature of...
***the fact that the number of active, aggressive oversight investigations being conducted by the House is itself probably unprecedented***”
politico.com/story/2019/07/…
“This Congress is limited in time,” Letter recently told a federal judge who upheld a subpoena for Trump’s financial records, responding to Trump’s efforts to delay the case. “There’s obviously going to be appeals here. We just do not want there to be any lag in time.”
(THEY’RE WORKING AS FAST AS THEY CAN)
“Under [Letter’s] guidance, Democrats adopted a measure in June to preemptively grant the full authority of the House for any litigation initiated by a congressional committee...
...an effort meant to help speed court action as Democratic committee leaders run into Trump’s stonewalling efforts.”

(THEY’VE BEEN WORKING AS FAST AS THEY CAN)
“the House quietly approved a resolution declaring that all Trump-related subpoenas issued by committee chiefs are also presumptively approved to have the support of the full House...
...The measure empowers lawmakers like Nadler and Schiff — who have unilateral subpoena authority — to compel documents and testimony with the full weight of the House behind them.”
(This means they don’t have to take a vote every time Nadler and Schiff want to issue a subpoena. THEY’VE BEEN WORKING AS FAST AS THEY CAN)
“Whatever decision we made in that regard [impeachment] would have to be done with our strongest possible hand, and we still have some outstanding matters in the courts. It’s about the Congress, the Constitution and the courts, and we are fighting the president in the courts,”
THEY ARE SHARPENING THEIR SWORDS.
If you want an idea of the kind of brazen thuggery our representatives are facing right now, take a look at this. (have a drink first)
