I recently had a chat with a friend and he told me he had holes in the two sides of his premolars. Ouch! How does he crush bones you wonder? He went further to disclose that the holes were the aftermath of his diet.

Since childhood, he had been choosy about what to eat, his choices were mainly carbohydrates and sugar.
Then I advised him to change his diet. He frankly replied that he knows that is the solution but he doesn't want to do it.

Why did I ask? He answered, "well, I like what I eat. I'm used to it. Changing my diet is like changing me."

This points to the fact that there is indeed a difference between knowing what to do and actually doing what you know. Wisdom is understanding how to apply knowledge in the real world.
