So I quickly wrote up notes on why Trump mentioned "CrowdStrike":

I write this up because I hate the explanations trying to debunk Trump saying "there is no server". This totally misstates Trump's position. He's saying the servers were mishandled, not that he knows of a particular server.
Moreover, there's obvious bias in the media. Nobody is debunking the "server" located in Trump Tower secretly talking to Alpha Bank, even though we have unambiguous evidence no such server exists.
Trump's conspiracy theory is still a crazy conspiracy theory, but these lame attempts at debunking it are lame.
Conspiracy theories aren't baseless. Laughing them off does nothing to address why supporters believe in them. It just makes opponents feel better about themselves, and increases the divisiveness in our politics.
