I think the answer to “preferred pronouns” is to fight Humpty-Dumptyism with Humpty-Dumptyism.
A: I heard you call me ‘he’! MY preferred pronouns are “they/them”! You should call me ‘they’!
B: When *I* use the word ‘he’, in respect to you, it MEANS ‘they’.

Alternatively, if you’re bored you can pretend to be skeptical, as the atheists do, and demand they “prove” that those are indeed their “preferred” pronouns. I mean, how do they know? Why should we believe them?
