Overnight I reached that tipping point of sickness that people with cancer and auto-immune diseases have to be concerned about. Now I am just praying that I won't have to go into hospital, again.
Hoping the NP will be able to circumvent that when she comes. 😭😷🤒
Please get your #FluShot, folks. Herd immunity protects everyone who can't get one.

If only @TIME had given @KamalaHarris the leeway it has given white male candidates.
Harris is the first black woman to run for president in a quarter century, she'only the third black woman to run ever. Her candidacy is historic. It should be framed in that context.
The breadth of some of @KamalaHarris's policy proposals-- gun control, disability, education, pay equity, GND--has barely been addressed in the MSM. It's impossible not to see this in the context of the misogyny and racism that Hillary Clinton spoke about in 2016.
This cover story should have highlighted how @KamalaHarris is bringing it to Trump. The kicker should have read: "The candidate who took on Sessions, Kavanaugh and Barr wants to prosecute Trump."

I've reported on this disparity all year. When Harris won the 1st debate and surged in the polls, Biden was given a media do-over, where he gave interviews trashing Harris--who got no time.

CNN's prime time show with Chris Cuomo actually gave Biden two full hours on two separate nights during which Biden castigated Harris. In one of those hours, Biden's wife implied Harris was a liar. Additionally, Biden's team called Harris "slippery and slick."

When I asked Cuomo's show if Harris & her husband would be given rebuttal time, I got no reply.
There is no question that these repeated attacks damaged Harris's polling nor that she was given no opportunity for equal time pushback. It's difficult to ignore the ramifications.

🚨Not one national newscast used @BernieSanders' heart attack & stent surgery to talk about heart attack risk, warning signs, et al. Nor was Bernie's doctor on the news to explain what happened and what it means for Bernie.
This is a real failure of reporting and transparency.

Bernie sent out a great tweet on which he proclaimed he felt good and--pure Bernie, always on message--stumping for #MedicareForAll.
While we want Bernie well and back to fighting for the people, this event should be a reminder of the intensity of the stresses of campaigning.
2/
It should also be an example of how statistically, American men are known for ignoring their health and warning signs of illness.
Most Americans don't know the signs of a #heartattack or that they are different in men and women. This should have been a teachable moment.

I’ve been reading a lot of @pulte / #TwitterPhilanthropy and many of the cases are intractable and hard.

One father has a daughter with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Both parents work. The medications are expensive. Medical bills pile one, wages get garnished. Mortgage default.
What’s the solution to rising healthcare costs. “Pay for everything,” isn’t sustainable especially with the demand to pay for everyone who makes it past the border.

Good people are struggling and there’s no discernible solution.
What @pulte’s efforts have shown, and he’s being criticized for doing #TwitterPhilanthropy publicly, is that America’s poor are largely invisible.

Even the left uses the poor as a punchline, calling people “hicks.”

1. The impeachment debate entered a new phase last week. A new focus appears to be on cost-benefit analysis. It goes like this: Donald Trump is so out of control and so dangerous that the country must not wait to get rid of him.
2. Elizabeth Drew wrote about this before the New Year. She wrote in the Times that the “dangers of keeping an out-of-control president in office might well impel politicians in both parties … to want to make a deal to get him out of there.”
3. Last Saturday, it was David Leonhardt’s turn. The Times columnist wrote that “waiting is too dangerous. The cost of removing a president from office is smaller than the cost of allowing this president to remain.”
