It is not clear to me if Mr. Brennan is going to be interviewed by United States Attorney Durham. If he is, he should hope that the questioning is not the sort that General Flynn received. But the obvious follow up is: Have you been interviewed by the government? If so when?
If not, do you expect to be interviewed? If so when and by whom? Will you be represented by counsel in that setting? And, the key inquiry, have you been given any reason to believe you are a “target of investigation?”
I wouldn’t ask about whether he expects to be summoned to a Grand Jury. But as to rest: obvious, crucial questions for every guest commenting on #Russiagate. BTW: Believing 100% in legitimacy of Russia probe by SC Mueller and his conclusions is not inconsistent w/ Durham probe.
If our FBI/SC got played by partisans —or worse, the GRU— and as a consequence ran counterintelligence operations against a political campaign or any public figure is a grave question of great consequence. #SonOfCointelPro or Cointelpro 2.0 does not seem possible to many people.
But many people did not believe the original #Cointelpro was possible. And if you don’t know what that is, you shouldn’t have opinions on this central question of the day: What did the FBI/IC know and when did it know it about #SteeleDossier.
