Sorry @CompstonEwing , you are just wrong. Really clueless TBH.

The way to reduce GHG emissions is:
1. Identify major GHG sources.
2. Green them.

Sorry to come down hard on you, but the "live in mud huts and eat grass" stuff actually undermines the efforts of the grown-ups.
Our major emitters are:
transport
electricity
heat for business
heat for residential
Together they add up to about 85% of GHG emissions.
If we can
A) Create a zero Carbon grid
and
B) Switch transport and heat from petrol and gas to zero Carbon electricity
we are almost there.
I feel bad about dumping on the "tree-hugger" CC activists - they were raising the alarm while the world slept - but the time has come for real technological solutions and, to be frank, hippy campfire solutions do more harm the good. It's time to get real.
