NEW data from @BLS_gov - the unemployment rate in September fell 0.2 p.p. to 3.5 percent, its lowest rate in over half a century. #jobsday
The #unemployment rate for Hispanic-Americans reached a historic low of 3.9 percent. African American unemployment held steady at its record low of 5.5 percent.
In the 34 months since @realDonaldTrump was elected, the #economy has created more than 100,000 jobs in 31 of those months and added 136,000 jobs in September.
In the third quarter of 2019, 73.7 percent of workers entering employment came from out of the labor force rather than from unemployment. This is a new record high!

New from @BLS_gov - in August, the #unemployment rate remained at 3.7%, and has been under 4% for 18 consecutive months, the longest such streak since 1970!
The economy added 130k #jobs in August and wage growth remained strong. Nominal average hourly earnings for private workers have increased 3.2% over the past 12 months and 3.5% for private non-supervisory workers.
The African American unemployment rate fell to a new series low of 5.5 percent (series beginning in 1972).

Real GDP grew 3.1 percent during the 4 quarters of 2018, and was the fastest Q4-to-Q4 growth since 2005. It was also 0.9 percentage point above the pre-TCJA trend, and 0.8 percentage point faster than the last term of the previous administration
Investment by independent businesses rose sharply following passage of #TaxCuts, rising $26 billion above pre-TCJA trend by the end of 2018

Real average hourly earnings rose 1.9% during the past 12 months, well exceeding the 0.4% pace during the year-earlier period. Real wages for American families are soaring. #CPI #BLSdata
Gasoline prices fell 9.1% during the past 12 months, a turnaround from the 12.6% increase during the 12 months through February 2018. Americans are paying less at the pump.
The prices for prescription drugs fell 1.2% during the 12 months through February 2019, well below the 2.1 percent increase during the same time period last year.

2. Framing and narratives matter. Seeing #data only as an asset (oil, gold, currency, etc) ignores implicit risks. Also seeing it as radioactive (with a half-life), an externality, a ticking time bomb, a liability, etc helps to locate it in a larger ecosystem. 2/n #GoingDigital
3. To a tech hammer, every socioeconomic problem looks like a tech nail. Informational asymmetries and power imbalances require attention to complex structural issues, not just on deployment of one size fits all tech solutions in a box. 3/n #GoingDigital

U.S. employers added 155k jobs in November, the 98th straight month of growth. The unemployment rate held at 3.7%, a multi-decade low. #jobsday

Average earnings up 6 cents/hour, 3.1% over the past year. That's the same year-over-year rate as last month, when wage growth was supposedly artificially inflated by hurricane effects.
October's strong number was revised down a bit, but September up very slightly. Net downward revision of 12k.
