Maricopa County Assessor Paul Petersen was charged w/ human smuggling, communications smuggling & selling a child.

He's accused of recruiting & transporting women from Marshall Islands to the US to give up their babies for adoption in an illegal scheme.

Here’s the DOJ announcement.

Petersen was licensed to practice law in Arizona, Utah, and Arkansas. He was paying the women to travel to Arkansas and that’s where they put their babies up for adoption.

Michigan Attorney Carl L. Collins III, who also allegedly owns a real estate company and 2 Medical companies, was indicted for tax fraud.

His medical companies are MedCity Rehabilitation Services LLC and Alpha Living LLC. He's also known in the Detroit area for billboards advertising "855-CAR-HIT-YOU." LOLOL...yep, my nose is smelling the waft of a healthcare scheme.....

To be clear, there is no evidence nor suggestion in the DOJ announcement about any healthcare fraud, it's just a gut feeling being he defrauded the IRS so much and also happened to own medical businesses & solicited clients hit by cars.

Ahmad Kanan of Wisconsin was charged with using unauthorized access devices to commit wire fraud for illegally using the routing and account numbers of a foreign embassy to make purchases.
Ohh, hmmm.... this site says he was a gas station operator (and his wife is the majority owner) and he stole the banking info from the Libyan embassy. 👇

He used their info to pay sales and use tax on the gas stations.
