Rubio and PEDO Menendez asked the US Treasury/CFIUS to investigate JBS SA (meat packing company) for bribery of government officials in Brazil, their relationship with Maduro/Venezuela, and their reliance on #China.

JBS SA is a Brazilian company and the biggest meat packing company in the world.

Hmm, looks like it might be connected to Smithfield Foods?? Smithfield is now owned by #China/the CCP and is the largest pig/pork producer in the world.
Here's what it says, but I'll have to look into it further.

JBA & its US subsidiary bought Smithfield's beef business in 2008.
Yup, it's the same Smithfield.

So it appears that the sons of JBS SA founder previously admitted to bribing almost 2,000 Brazilian politicians for over $150 million to get loans illegally and then buy American companies with those illicit loands.
The Senators also said there may also be a federal investigation going on.
More info in here. Looks like JBS has bought up several American meat packing companies, including meat-packer Swift Foods and chicken producer Pilgrim’s Pride Corp.

Oh geez, so the sons, who ran JBS's holding company, signed plea deals back in 2017 and admitted to running a large bribery ring in Brazil.
