Periodic reminder that while quite a bit of our election infrastructure - voting machines, databases, and so on - suffers from serious security vulnerabilities, that does NOT mean that our elections are all "rigged" or that there is no point in voting. Voting matters.
The researchers who discover these election system vulnerabilities? We all vote.
The Internet sometimes amplifies exaggerated claims about election security. The situation is indeed serious, and requires urgent attention. But elections still matter. Vote anyway.
By analogy, if you have oily rags next to a space heater, that’s an extremely dangerous, urgent problem. It requires immediate attention. But it doesn’t mean your house has already burned down.
