Your strategy should consist of these core elements:
1. Company knowledge
Never, and we mean never, interview for a position without basic company knowledge. The basics that will easily impress? Core values, back story knowledge, knowledge of founders/owners.

This shows initiative, responsibility (informed decision), and dedication. You went the extra mile, just to join the team. What other extra mile steps will you take? You’re presenting yourself as an asset to this company and have made a solid impression so far.
2. A position orientated résume
Now for this, we’re not saying lie on your resume. Not at all. However, you need to polish your resume according to what you’re after.
Keep your skills and work experience orientated around the skills and experience needed to land the position.

Do not lie in any way. Don’t even little white lie...you will have to prove every said skill in your resume in due time.
To polish your resume simply means to use key words that are relevant to your position. Use like terms and make sure it’s speaks for what you want.

3. Appearance
Dress for the job you want, not the job you have!
Present yourself in a manner that says "I am an asset to this company and to hire me is to make a great investment into the company brand."

So make sure your appearance says you do everything with care, confidence, and pride.

Apart from your appearance, your mannerisms are just as important because they are the dead giveaway.
You can show up looking like a million dollars, but fidget the whole way through and then tarnish that appearance.

Remember that your closet is only a tool to be used in attaining what you want and your appearance is a presentation, not a cover up.
Practice your posture and hand shake, train your mind to relax when you feel anxious. Keep yourself looking and feeling confident. Major key!

5. Tonality
Seal the deal with an assured tone. Ever notice people only listen to those that are confident in what they say?
You can use rappers or public speakers for examples.
They exude confidence in their message and you would never suspect that they feel insecure

Of course you need not to come off as cocky, but you do need to be able to speak about yourself and what’s on your resume confidently. This is why we advised you not to lie on your resume, but to polish it.
