British wanted to appropriate the Khalsa as a fighting force for heir empire. To this cause they created Brit-Sikhi. They told Sikhs that they’ve lost the true teachings of the Gurus since before that most Sikhs followed Hindu customs.

They manufactured a “religion” for them. 🙄

This was taught first to the colonized Sikh army officers and soldiers and propagated from there. It is a lifeless rootless religion. This makes Brit-Sikhs easy prey for missionaries in Punjab.

Why would one want a bad photocopy of Christianity when one can have the original.

Pre-British Sikhs largely followed the same "Hindu" customs for birth, marriage, death etc. Sikh identity was constructed during British times and this based on Abrahamic template of "religion."

False. What the Gurus did was completely distorted using the colonial template. Murtis were removed from Gurudwaras, wall painting with "Hindu deities" were literally whitewashed late into the 20th century.

Brit-Sikhs even tried to disown Dasam Granth.🙄

For the “Sikhs” now wedded to the Brit-Sikh dogmas, let me be clear. I couldn’t care less if they call themselves Hindu or not. There is no understanding of value they bring.

What interests me is the authentic teaching of the Gurus, who are my gurus as well. That’s the quest.

We have to remember that Hinduism was also constructed. Hinduism was constructed as “caste system” and “idol worship” and others were constructed in opposition to this.

Colonization runs deep. It is not limited to one sect.
