We all know their record on rights at work. Since 2010? Unfair dismissal rights watered down, the Trade Union Act, loss of consultation rights on mass redundancies, tribunal fees and much more. They've literally written the book on it.
And we all know their record on the NHS. And now we're expected to trust them to stand up to Trump and big corporate interests? After 9 years of cuts, with waiting lists and times going up?
And we know what the Tories really think about consumer and environmental standards: red tape, to be slashed away.
For years, leading Tories have told us they want to get out of the EU so that they can scrap "burdensome" rights & standards. And now they're asking us to trust them to protect them. No cast-iron guarantees, no legal lock, no level playing field, just trust them.
The very same Tories who have spent years decrying the Working Time Directive and the Social Chapter, and who cited scrapping these as one of the reasons for getting out of the EU, are telling us to trust them. No chance.
We know what they stand for and we know that the rights, protections and NHS that working people rely on are not safe in their hands. We can't trust them, and our rights are too hard-won to put at risk. That's why all MPs need to #VoteDownTheDeal today. #youcanttrustthetories
