X : I like your maps but disagree with you.
Me : And?
X : You're wrong.
Me : Join the queue with the OpenStack, Agile / Lean or Six Sigma Everywhere, Serverless is not the future, Private / Hybrid / Multi cloud, Bimodal, Virtual Data Centre. DevOps is culture ... crowds.
... if there isn't a 100,000 people telling me I'm wrong then I don't feel loved and I'm not trying hard enough.

Me : Interesting choice of words. The issue isn't conflict but inertia in all its 16 different forms from past success to existing practice to political capital. Here's a handy list to help ...
... we often have inertia and seek out confirmation that our past view is correct. A lot of bias comes into play, so when you say things are going to change then people are going to disagree.

The most interesting cases are those where people selectively reinvent the past ...
i.e. in the 90s, I used to come in for some stick from environmentalists because I was pro nuclear (it was a better option than carbon).

Once in a blue moon someone will say "sorry" ... other times, well ... people forget, memory is faulty. Let it flow. Water under the bridge.
However, don't be afraid of everyone telling you that you're wrong.

What you really want to be afraid of is everyone telling you that you're right.
