If PM is serious about pulling his Brexit bill + triggering gen elxn, AND if Lab still refuse one until after Oct 31, there are various options open to him. Some mad, some not so mad. They include:
1. Table and pass a one-line bill to bypass Fixed Term Parliaments Act to allow election with simple majority. Tories and SNP vote for.
2. Invite all opposition parties, inc minority parties (normally just Loyal Opposition ie Labour) to table motion of no confidence. SNP take up the opportunity. Tories abstain, Lab abstain, SNP vote for.
3. Call vote of no conf in his own govt, Tories abstain, Lab abstain, SNP vote for.

Note that in all scenarios the SNP would play a key role. And if any happen this week election could then go ahead in later Nov or early December.
