Photo nerditry: I have a couple of Profoto B1 monolights. I finally downloaded the phone app to upgrade firmware. Holy crap. The app lets you trigger the lights with the phone camera. So you can proof a studio lighting setup entirely the phone. Or take really well lit selfies.
I’m not much of a studio or portrait photographer, but for certain niches, this could be a game-changingly convenient part of the workflow. You can send a proof to someone (or post on Twitter)in seconds.
