breitbart being in Facebook's trusted partners is clarifying. it's the same principle as dinner w/ Tucker, etc. FB's perspective seems to be that if you achieve a certain amt of scale & influence then the company will engage earnestly w/ you. it's an outdated idea of media power.
but it's very telling that FB would look at Tucker or Breitbart and see a big-ish audience and take that as a sign of trustworthiness. Facebook is using scale is a stand-in for authority and credibility, which makes sense given how the company sees the world/internet
should clarify: "outdated" is an imprecise word. what i mean is it is willfully ignorant of the realities of the pro-trump media information war.
