@propublica 2/ As you’ll see, revenue, per the financials, fell 39% YOY, while expenses rose 31%. Yikes, right? But revenues actually received during the year rose to a new high, at roughly $30.2 million. So what’s up?
@propublica 3/ GAAP accounting is good for all sorts of things, but not helpful here. That’s because it places all revenue from multi-year grants in the year the grants are made.

Everyone needs to calm down a bit and see where the reporting by a range of organizations goes. There are many ways to square the Mueller statement and the gist of the Buzzfeed story. Just for instance, what if the precise nature of the lie Cohen ostensibly told is misdescribed?
Or what if the documents supporting the story come from sources other than those described? The point is that the Mueller statement is far from a flat denial of the gist of the story, and the authors of the statement surely know how to write clearly when they want to.
Cable television needs always to tote up the score in real time, but I’ve been reading a good bit about Watergate lately, and history makes a lot of judgments about who “won” a particular news cycle look awfully silly.

#Trump announces tariffs as leverage to 'encourage' Mexico to address illegal immigration prob at the border. Caught off guard and realizing he's dead serious, Mexico hastily springs into action to avoid the pain....the same pain that we're told Americans would be paying BTW. 🤔
For starters, most regular politicians would never dare be so bold. But it gets better as #Trump is not only willing to announce them, but goes so far as to not put them on hold while Mexico scrambles to submit, hoping for a delay.
