Last week I had to take a police officer with me to a @posten post office in order to pick up a vacuum cleaner I had ordered, because @posten wouldn't let me pick it up without ID, after @posten "lost" my passport.

Reminder that I'm a stateless Palestinian refugee. The travel document (issued by Norway) is my only valid ID. Without it, I can't:
- Travel
- Get any banking transactions done including pay my bills
- Do anything that needs ID
- Pick up a vacuum cleaner from the postal office

My career depends on my being able to travel. This kinda shit isn't funny:

Maybe stateless Palestinian refugees should just commit mass suicide. We apologize to you for the inconvenience caused to the civilized world and its wonderful bureaucracies by our existence.

Oh and wait, after losing my passport and causing this absolute chaos in my life, @posten has offered me a compensation of upto... 1000 kr. That's $102.

It costs 1400 kr to apply for a new travel document.

I'm just really tired of living like this.
