Many of his past close associates like Michael Cohen have turned on him. He's turned on people like Bannon, who was also a Johnny come lately to Trump world anyway.
Imagine being one of the nation's (supposedly) wealthiest people who's been in the spotlight for 50 years, and having almost no one who you've worked with over those years being willing to have your back.
Meanwhile, the people who've worked with you since you've been president fall into 3 camps.
1) the grifting toadies like Nunes, Gaetz, and Gorka
2) people who know a lot but mostly keep quiet
3) the ones who leak to reporters about how much they despise you, like Tillerson.
