1/ I’m going to add a few details to the Bolton bait theory.

If you recall in my article linked in the quoted tweet, I include the opening monologue of a Laura Ingraham from the day Bolton was fired.

It shows reaction from Republicans and Democrats.
2/ But I was researching further and found the Chris Mathews episode from 9/19/19. This was a few days after Trump fires Bolton. The whistleblower complaint was already in the wind. John went to New York to speak at a Republican luncheon.

Watch:
3/ At the luncheon Bolton “rips” Trump for his supposed invitation to the Taliban to visit Camp David on 9/11. I mentioned that as an issue that sold the idea of Bolton opposition to Trump in the article but I had forgotten about this luncheon.
4/ The luncheon allowed Bolton a public forum to voice his displeasure with Trump and it gave Trump a reason to respond by mentioning known issues about the Iraq war and a previously complaint about Bolton referencing the Libya model in context of the North Korea negotiations.
5/ It’s all soap opera bullshit. It’s simply designed to sell the idea that there’s been a real split with Trump.

In this next clip Chris sells it as a real split but Sykes says it’s actually a reserved response from Trump. It’s obvious if you’re paying attention.
6/ Sykes also points out that the location and audience of Bolton’s remarks are very interesting and then drops the biggest clue of them all. Who introduced Bolton at this luncheon? Rebekah Mercer!
7/ Most of you know but for those who don’t let’s review who Rebekah Mercer is.

She is an ally of Steve Bannon.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebekah_M…
8/ The “First Lady of the Alt-Right”.

The “most powerful woman in Republican politics”.
9/ In 2012 Rebekah was just breaking into Republican politics. She backed the nominee Mitt Romney.

But by 2016 she initially backed Ted Cruz. Whatever your feelings about Ted, he was an anti-establishment force in the 2016 primaries.
10/ Rebekah is a huge Trump supporter. Introduced him to Steve Bannon and spent millions to help elect Trump in 2016.
11/ She and Steve Bannon stood by Trump through the Access Hollywood scandal.
11/ Why do I point out these details about Rebekah? Because it’s a clue. John Bolton went to a Republican breakfast and was introduced by a huge Trump backer to supposedly says bad things about Trump.

👌

😂😂😂
12/ Bolton is not going to bring down Trump. That is never going to happen. But the Democrats have put their eggs in that basket.

Here we have POTUS, the SoS and the envoy to Ukraine all saying no quid pro quo. These Schiff witnesses against Trump were Bolton subordinates.
13/ If anyone would actually know if there was a quid pro quo it would be their boss.

Democrats were baited into believing Bolton flipped on Trump but it was all fake. Trump was representing a hand. It wasn’t real.

He was manipulating the Democrats.
14/ Now what do Democrats do? They’ve told their resistance base that this is it. The real deal. But it’s not.

They can’t walk away. They’re pot committed. They’ve already bet too many chips. They can’t pull out now.

How did Trump get them to do that?

The Bolton lure. /end
