(I assume the real reason is some combination of tax dodge, New Yorkers’ hatred of him, and wanting to monetize his post-presidential fame at Mar-a-Lago.)
Damn it. I misremembered the mandate. ELECTORS can’t vote for a prez and veep from the same state, so if you’re planning to win your home state you need an out-of-state veep as close election insurance. But if you’re gonna lose your home state, do what you feel.
